Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile

Double bassist Edgar Meyer and Nickel Creek's mandolin player Chris Thile have joined forces on a new album that explores the intersections between classical and American roots music. The album features 12 original compositions by the duo, which has been performing together sporadically for the past several years. They join us today with a live performance.
Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile perform tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall.

Thank you so much for bringing this incredible music to the air. I've had the pleasure of hearing Chris and Edgar several nights on this tour and each performance evolves into a completely unique experience. Go check them out tomorrow night at Carnegie Hall! You won't regret it.
that was insane
I really like Nickle Creek, so to hear this has been just as refreshing. I wish I could make it to Carnegie Hall tomorrow night!
I saw them last night at the Lisner Auditorium in DC. Absolutely amazing! This show is not to be missed.
I got to see these guys at Carnegie Hall last night. It was amazing I thought I would check them out because I loved Appalachian Journey and student tickets were 10 buck. I was not ready for what I saw. Edgar is the Maestro and Chris is like a little kid having so much fun. Sorry to make you guys all jealous.
I'm so glad that John and NYC are getting hip to what's going on with the musicians coming out of the American acoustic bluegrass and blues tradition. It really is exciting. I was at Carnegie the other night. Thanks go not only to the musicians but our fellow audience members. I've never heard such a large crowd so silent during the performances and so appreciative in between. The few pieces with these guys and Mark O'Connor were...revelatory.
Edgar and Chris have fun tonight with Gregor. He's the best Audio Janitor.
