Lisa Moore
Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Pianist Lisa Moore has always broken music molds as a founding member of the downtown new-music group Bang on a Can All-Stars. She joins us to sing, play, hit, whistle and stroke some pieces by Randy Newman, and to perform a New York premiere of composer Martin Bresnick's "Willie's Way," written especially for Moore.
Lisa Moore will perform the piece "Musically Speaking" with guest Martin Bresnick at Merkin Concert Hall on Saturday, Oct. 25. The show begins at 8 p.m. More details here.

Wow, that was some awful assault on my ears!
I couldn't disagree more -- I found her performances captivating and her remarks engaging and on point. Since listening to the show, I can't wait to see and hear the entire Merkin concert on Saturday.
Wonderful show - superb piano playing, eloquent singing! Congrats!!
Che bello, che fantastico!
The artist extraordinaire!
What a beautiful, breathy, and unexpected voice!
Once again, otherwise unrealized pieces of music brought forth by Lisa for us to enjoy.
She is a treasure.
Soooo wish I could be at your concert, but the link is great. Happy memories of an unforgettable weekend in Genova. A big kiss to the dainty Big Apple X
