When he was 15, Aaron Parks attended the University of Washington with a triple-major in math, computer science and music. At 19, he was a pianist playing with trumpeter Terence Blanchard. Now at the tender age of 24, Parks is releasing his debut for a blue-chip jazz label, Blue Note. He joins us to talk about "Invisible Cinema" and to play live.

My name is Mitch Coodley. I'm a New York city composer/producer. I owned and produced the Metro Music production library from 1988 to 2007.
Back in 1998 I composed and produced a CD for my catalog called Nu Jazz. It was a mix of new, retro and crossover jazz.
