Vinicio Capossela is the Italian equivalent of Tom Waits, but his live shows come with scary masks and costumes. He joins us to talk about his new album, which includes collaborators like producer JD Foster (Tom Waits/Calexico) and composer Anthony Coleman.
Vinicio Capossela will be performing at Highline Ballroom on Jul. 2 at 9 p.m.

The Italian equivalent of Tom Waits? Are you're it's not old Tom just singing in Italian?
Vinicio, I used to live in Firenze and a good friend of mine still lives there. His name is Christopher Wyatt Scott. I think the two of you would have great fun together if you ever met and or performed together.
