Virtual Maestro

Friday, May 16, 2008

If you’ve ever dreamed of leading an orchestra on stage, there's a new video game to satisfy your urge. The UBS Virtual Maestro allows would-be Leonard Bernsteins to lead their own "virtual orchestra" via an Nintendo Wii controller. As the game currently tours concert halls across the U.S., we hear from one of its developers, Yuri Ivanov.

Our blog: John Schaefer on "toying" with musical skills

I wonder how it was for the musicians to play for a conductor with no face. I am not a musician, though I thought conducting was done with one's arms, hands, body AND face... right?

    Jaqueline-

We need more pitching for Evening Music, for wnyc2.

George did a spot for The Take Away, how about Brina or Lenny doing a spot for the music programming, for Terrance, for John, for David?
