Cellist and composer Dana Leong is all about melting-pot. He is of both Chinese and Japanese descent. And his music mixes jazz with funk, hip-hop and electronica. He brings his band for a live performance in the studio.
Dana Leong performs a free concert with his band at Dizzy's Club Cola Cola Sat. Apr. 19 at 3pm. He performs at the BAM Cafe on Sat. May 3 at 9:30 pm.

While the Rhythm Road program is an extension of Jazz Ambassador programs of past, the name "Jazz Ambassadors" is now defunct.
As a working professional trombonist I totally agree. I perform with a dixieland brass group, a brass chamber(quintet)group, and symphonic band. The symphonic band performs its 20th anniversary concert on May 10th at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Hope to see you all there.
