what we don't need: more big music labels.
i don't care if they're emphasizing live music. we need more smaller operations. the only reason they focus on live performance is that it is becoming increasingly improbable that anyone will be able to control where recorded music is going to go and how anyone will pay be forced to pay for it.
mixtapes were hard to make! they required a lot of thought and work.
