Immigrants, Music and the Airwaves

Tuesday, November 06, 2007

Newcomers from Turkey and Eastern Europe are changing Berlin’s sound. We visit the studios of regional broadcaster RBB and its channel Radio Multikulti. RBB's Tobias Maier explains how the channel uses music as a bridge between Germans and the various immigrant communities.

    Hi!

Hey, thats incredible that even shows in other countries recordnized how great that Channel "Radio Multikulti" is - or should I say was? Because those stupid people from the RBB didn`t want to pay money anymore for it,so it don`t exists anymore. The last Day, after 14 Years of Word Wide Music was December, 31. in 2008.

But some people who formerly worked for Multikulti and some friends of the programme started the same day the Internetradioprogramme "Radio Multicult 2.0"! So, if you`re interested in Worldmusic from Berlin check out www.multicult.eu!

    Thanks!
