Nellie McKay has come a long way since "Get Away from Me," her critically acclaimed 2004 album produced by Beatles sound engineer Geoff Emerick. Today she releases her third album, "Obligatory Villagers," which features the jazz veterans Phil Woods and David Liebman, and vocalist Bob Dorough, best known for his work with the "Schoolhouse Rock" cartoons. She performs live in the studio.
