Today, we debate the growing trend of hip-hop as a learning tool in the classroom. Also: French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet loves the voice and opera. Kirkland, assistant professor of English education at New York University.
Thibaudet's Opera without Words
French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet loves opera so much that he once appeared at the Met in Giordano's "Fedora," playing (literally) the part of the pianist Boleslao Lazinski. He joins us to share his latest album of operatic transcriptions called "Opera Without Words."
