For 50 years, the organization once known as the American Association of Retired Persons has sold insurance, investments and other services to its members. Now the group wants to market music to the generation that grew up with rock 'n' roll. We talk with Emilio Pardo, chief brand officer at the AARP and Chuck Nyren, author of Advertising to Baby Boomers, about the role online music could play in the golden years.

I was sorry to hear how reluctant many 50 year olds are to join because of the percieved stigma of being "old". What about the important political clout of AARP's PAC?
