Last year was a record breaker for Bollywood movies in the U.S. But as markets outside India crave more song-and-dance movies, the Bollywood industry is in flux. Promotional campaigns are increasingly targeted at American and British audiences, American actors are caught in scandals with Indian actresses, and the first Bollywood-NASCAR movie is a smash success. We talk with Gitesh Pandya, editor of BoxOfficeGuru.com, about how the insatiable global demand for Bollywood might change this musical genre forever. Also: Akon, can you hear me know?
