Glen Hansard
Tuesday, May 01, 2007
The frontman of the popular Irish band The Frames is no stranger to the camera. Glen Hansard played a guitarist in a hard-scrabble working band in 1991's The Commitments. Now, he stars with Marketa Irglova in Once, a film about two musicians who write music that becomes the soundtrack to their love story. Hansard talks about the film before his performance tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Love love love the movie the music and especially the much loved guitar. My friend and I are in dispute about the nationality if female lead star.
Marketa Irglova, the lead star in ONCE, is Czech by nationality.
Sirs
Just saw the movie "Once" I thought it was a VERY real sort documentary type film. I really enjoyed the love tension between Glen and Marketa. I also like the idea that it was filmed in Ireland where my family comes form for some 900 years.
