    While radio used to break new bands, that role is increasingly played by TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy. Today: We look at who wins, and who loses, when TV producers determine the music we listen to. Also: Indie rock band, The Walkmen and Broadway star, Ben Vereen.

TV on the Radio

In a rare move, one of the nominees for best soundtrack at Sunday’s Grammy Awards is a TV Soundtrack. We talk to Bill Werde, deputy editor of Billboard magazine, and Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor behind several shows including "Grey's Anatomy." It's been making household names of under-the-radar musicians.
