Widely considered one of the dance world's most musical choreographers Mark Morris will celebrate the 25 years of his dance group, by curating a month's worth of live music at BAM Café in Brooklyn. He joins us to talk about this, and reflect back on his career, which has spanned large-scale dances and operas, intimate studio works, and a budding career as an opera director (he will direct a production of Gluck's masterpiece "Orfeo ed Euridice" at the Metropolitan Opera next season. Also on the show: Iranian composer and tar (lute) virtuoso Hossein Alizadeh. He has performed with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble; now he's on the road, touring with a group of countrymen known as "The Masters of Persian Music." Finally, a look at the phenomenon of the video mash-up.
