Willie Nelson, iconoclast, outlaw, and biodiesel proponent, is the reigning king of the cowboy song. But for Valentine's Day this year, he released a recording of a cowboy song with a queer twist: Ned Sublette's "Cowboys are Frequently, Secretly (Fond of each other)." Kelefah Sanneh, pop music critic for The New York Times, offers his review.
