It’s also the place where Samuel Barber wrote his celebrated “Adagio for Strings.” For the American violinist Robert McDuffie, it’s the perfect location for a music festival, and next week, he presides there over the first installment of the Rome Chamber Music Festival. McDuffie joins us today to discuss the challenges of starting a festival in the Eternal City.
