    Tech Essentials

Among the highlights each week of the New York Times "Circuits" section is David Pogue's "State of the Art" column. Each week, Pogue brings readers up to speed on the latest trends in technology, games, tech products and more. Today he sheds light on the latest in everything from MP3 players to file-sharing programs, from Apple's iPod to Napster 2.0. And the tiny Brazilian record label Trama is making a big splash on the international music scene. They've put out recordings of some of the country's top new artists as well as re-mixing some classic Brazilian tunes. We'll speak with one of the founder's of the label about new music from sunny Sao Paulo, and the way the Internet has played a huge role in making the label a success.
