Music Without Borders
Star violinist Hillary Hahn has just recorded a new disc of music by J.S. Bach, and she takes time from touring around the world to stop in and tell us about it. Also, “Musicians For Harmony” will give their second annual concert Tuesday night to commemorate the victims of the September 11th attacks. Soundcheck will be joined by bassist/composer Patrick Derivaz, the founder of Musique Sans Frontieres, an ensemble of multi-cultural musicians who will be featured in Tuesday's concert. Finally, BBC Radio's Christopher Cooke will phone in from England to give us a preview of the upcoming final night concert from this season's BBC Proms.
