Variations on Musical Forms
Author and NPR critic Tim Riley joins us in conversation about the new album from pianist Christopher O'Riley: True Love Waits. Christopher O'Riley, is host of From the Top, a weekly radio series that has been published as "public radio's answer to MTV." The album features the music of Radiohead re-imagined for solo piano. Composing "travel-size" operas had been a dream of University of Chicago Music Professor John Eaton for years before he created the Pocket Opera Players. He'll be in to talk about an upcoming performance of three of this one-of-a-kind company's current works. Tune to Soundcheck this week, when Chris Bannon will be sitting in for host John Schaefer.

Soundcheck
Soundcheck received an overwhelming response to our segment on the effects of urban noise. So much so that Arline Bronzaft decided to address the feedback. Listen to the original segment and read Bronzaft's response.
