    Forum Follows Function

Chris Janney is a professor in the school of architecture at Cooper Union, where he teaches a seminar called "Sound as a Visual Medium." He was recently tapped to curate a series of forums at Cooper Union in which prominent architects and composers are paired to discuss the symbiotic relationship between architecture and music (among the musicians on hand will be DJ Spooky, Philip Glass, Laurie Anderson and Moby). The series kicks off later this month and he joins us to discuss this far-ranging subject. Also, George Steel, executive director of Miller Theater, conductor, and musical polymath, drops by with this week's CD review.
