More "Magnetic" Than Metallica

Today, Pitchfork Media founding editor Ryan Schreiber appeared in a Soundcheck Smackdown on the new Metallica album, opposite Phil Freeman of Metal Edge magazine.
Phil loves the album, Ryan hates it. So, we asked Ryan for five bands that are producing work superior to Metallica's 'Death Magnetic':
