How gracious of you to provide us w/ five predetermined choices, sounds like a national election. Thanks for helping make actually making a choice so unnecessary.
.....uh....this is WNYC, right?
I would not think so, had I not seen the logo.
I agree with Andrea. Where's the none of the above button?
oops, i should clarify - usher's "yeah" has defined all of my summers for the past few years. it just doesn't stop!
Out of the 5 videos I would have to vote for the Miley Cyrus "Seven Things" for best song of the summer even though if I had to choose my favorite song of the summer it would be none of the ones listed.
Anna - agreed! Love in this Club, hands down. Can a summer go by without Usher releasing a perfect pearl of a song? I hope not...
wow -- I couldn't get all the way through any of those. Blech.
Where's the "None of the Above" video?
There's not an iota of originality in any of them -- all of them are just bad imitations of bad imitations before them. However, "I Kissed A Girl" gets my vote for it's FUN sexy way of telling everyone to get over it.
Why in the world would we need to see a video of a summer song contender? It's about the song isn't it? I didn't need a video to know that "My Cherie Amour" was the summer song of '69.
Jeez.
There isn't even a question. I know it came out in the spring, but Usher's "Love in This Club" is THE song of the summer. It's still everywhere, and it's hot. Rihanna is a distant second.
I really think Lollipop might be the song of the summer- you cant go out without hearing it!! Its so catchy too. My other favorite summer song is "dirty man" by eric solomon- hes totally new tho so I guess he wouldnt be a contender. Maybe next year!
