When she was a core member of the Chicago band Verbow in the 1990's, Alison Chesley defined the band's sound with a sonic treatment to the power chords of her cello. As Helen Money, she's seemingly turned up the menacing factor on her instrument and couples its unique sound with a compelling stage performance. Tackling music composition for film, theater and dance, Chesley has also collaborated with a smattering of artists including Anthrax, Bob Mould, Archer Prewitt and Broken Social Scene.
