Lay Low, also known as Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir, is Iceland's other musical export, a singer and multi-instrumentalist with a penchant for blues, country and folk. After quickly recording two albums which resulted in her meteoric rise in the Reykjavík music scene and catching the attention of Lucinda Williams, Sigrúnardóttir released her third effort worldwide last year. On "By and By," Sigrúnardóttir underscores her dulcet yet biting vocals with warm, twangy guitar.
