Nada Surf: In-Studio
Monday, January 23, 2012
In 1996, Nada Surf had the hit of the summer with the song “Popular.” Now, more than 15 years and numerous albums later, the rock trio is still, well, popular. Their show at the Bowery Ballroom this week is sold out – but they’ll preview songs from their new record, “The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy,” live in our studio.

These guys are remarkably talented and seemingly really well spoken and intelligent. Glad to hear that they are still putting out great songs and touring.
The comment about astronomy, whcih is great, reminds me of a quote from Barnett Newman, the painter. He said that "art criticism is to artists as ornithology is to birds".
