Friday, January 06, 2012

The Silk Road Ensemble, founded in 1998 by cellist Yo-Yo Ma, is a loose collective of musicians from around the world. This weekend, the group will perform at New York City’s globalFEST, and will feature international artists playing instruments from Galician bagpipes to the Chinese mouth organ. They join us in the studio to play live.

Hi Anthony,

The pieces the group performed were “Vojo” and "Saidi Swing."

Would love to know the names of the songs that the Silk Road Ensemble played today on Soundcheck. Do they have a new album out?
