In Studio: Allen Toussaint

New Orleans native Allen Toussaint has been making music for more than 50 years. The musician, singer, composer,  producer - and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer - drops by our studio for a live performance.

Allen Toussaint will perform songs from his 1975 album "Southern Nights" at Joe's Pub on Wednesday, November 23rd. More information here.

He said that Hugh Laurie was classically trained on the piano. Actually Hugh is self-taught. Just wanted to clarify and give him personal credit for his incredible talent.

Good interview. I'm so glad your station thinks enough of Allen to keep him in front of such a wide listening audience. The station host is always prepared for the conversation. And especially thanks for archiving these segments so they can be heard later if missed and saved.
