In Studio: Revolutionary Snake Ensemble

Friday, May 20, 2011

The Revolutionary Snake Ensemble is like a New Orleans marching band, except that they don’t march, and they’re not from New Orleans. But aside from that, this Cambridge, Mass.-based brass band is just like the funky, omnivorous, hard-partying bands of New Orleans. They’ll bring the party to our studio.

Inventive but too electronically tricked out. I kind of like Frankie Ford heading up the Vieux Krewe instead.

What is revolutionary about this? It sounds really boring to me.
