With her vintage glamour and soulful twang, Imelda May is the newest queen of one of rock and roll’s oldest sounds. But the rockabilly singer’s latest record, “Mayhem” -- already a number one hit in her native Ireland -- is hardly a nostalgia trip. May and her band fuse retro appeal with a thoroughly modern wit. They perform live in studio.
