John Adams' Unexpected Pairing

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Adams is best known for his game-changing operas, like “Nixon in China,” and “Doctor Atomic.”  Now, his music is being paired with the eccentric 19th century Austrian composer Anton Bruckner at the Lincoln Center Festival's "Bruckner: (R)evolution" series. Adams joins us to talk about the unexpected company he’s keeping these days.

Performances will be held at the Lincoln Center Festival on July 13, 14, 16 and 17.

Guests:

John Adams
