In Studio: Todd Snider
Tuesday, February 01, 2011
Since his emergence in 1994, guitar toting troubadour Todd Snider has toured far and wide, from the “sofa circuit” to Lincoln Center. He brings his country-folk and his trademark humor to the Soundcheck studios – along with a new, live double-album called “The Storyteller.”

@TedinATL~ You call it liberal; sounds more like the human experience to me.
Seems like he's gaining a bigger and bigger audience every day. The world needs more Todd Snider.
I'd call that an awesome liberal equivalent of that country song that hits every great cliche about momma, trains, hound-dogs, pickup trucks... and to continue with the cliches it actually made me LOL. nice.
I haven't heard of Todd until his appearance on Sound Check; I found him to be funny and provocative. I hope to see him live very soon.
Todd Snider is a "pissah" . . . first heard him on the legendary KPIG (Freedom, CA . . . near Santa Cruz). Became an instant fan.
Saw him perform at KPIG's Swine Soiree a few years ago (along with my buddy Paul Thorn . . . Maureen and I met him backstage with Paul) and he was great.
As (I guess) is often the case, he was late for the show and he had an opening apology for his tardiness that was along the lines of this is par for the course (the reason he was late) as whatever detained him was fodder for a future song . . . and that he "works hard" to make sure things like that keep happening.
Very funny!
PS - It might be too long but if he could perform Easy Money live on Soundcheck that would be a hoot!
