In Studio: Corin Tucker Band

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

In 2006, after 15 years as a working band, indie rock power trio Sleater-Kinney went on hiatus. Drummer Janet Weiss retreated to the studio with Quasi (and hit the road with Stephen Malkmus). Guitarist Carrie Brownstein started blogging for NPR. But singer and guitarist Corin Tucker went strangely silent – until now. She joins us live in studio with a new band and a brand new album, 1,000 Years.

Guests:

Corin Tucker

I'm trying to find one of the songs they played on Soundcheck last Thursday. I loved it but I can't find it. A calm piece. Could you post a list of the pieces they played, please. Thank you very much.

Oh Good Lord.

Even an original Riot Grrrl is falling for the Twilght crap?

Feminism is truly dead.
