In Studio: Menomena

Monday, October 04, 2010

The Portland, Oregon-based indie rock outfit Menomena received widespread critical acclaim for the crashing drums and intricate melodies of their 2007 album Friend and Foe. Three years later the band has finally returned with a follow-up, the long awaited Mines. They bring their idiosyncratic pop live to the Soundcheck studio. Plus: download or stream a bonus performance of "Tithe" recorded after the show today.

Today's Playlist:

1. Menomena, "Oh Pretty Boy, You're Such a Big Boy"

2. Live Performance - "Killeman"

3. Live Performance - "Queen Black Acid"

4. Menomena, "Dirty Cartoons"

5. Menomena, "Five Little Rooms"
