Clogs

Monday, March 22, 2010

The line between chamber music and indie rock just got a little blurrier, thanks to the award-winning chamber group known as Clogs. Often considered a classical spin-off from the popular rock band The National, Clogs now has a new album of songs featuring some of indie rock’s favorite voices. The band joins us to play live.

Awesome creative chamber music, well written and fun to listen to. Especially love the bassoon countermelody, and the ukelele adds such a special quality. Sung poetry with a British clear diction is a pleasure. Thanks John for bringing the Lady Walton to us. Clogs is a first class musical ensemble.

Really enjoyed listening to the Clogs. Won't be able to make the CD party in Brooklyn, but do plan to purchase this new music. Absolutely wonderful music!! Thank you John Schaefer for introducing me to this group.

This music sounds like the soundtrack to a fairy tale. Beautiful, quirky, lighthearted with a hint of danger - simply wonderful.
