The percussionist Zakir Hussain has played with India’s greatest classical musicians, and some of rock’s biggest names. He has starred in movies and started a leading world music label. He joins us to talk about touring with his Masters Of Percussion program and to play live in our studio.

I have seen them innumerable times. But if you need any introduction to Indian Classical music, please do not miss the show at Lincoln Centre.

What was that first one? The violin sounded like something from Roger Kellaway's cello quartet (which I learned about on Soundcheck.)
I'm glad I'm allowed to listen to music/radio at work or I would have missed this.
I hadn't heard Zakir Hussain before he recorded with Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer last year - wow! He was the most impressive part of an album featuring two of my favorite musicians!
