Friday, April 23, 2010
Cellist Alisa Weilerstein has been performing with the world’s major orchestras since she was 13, when she made her debut with the Cleveland Orchestra. Now 27, she’s got a BA in Russian history from Columbia and a packed concert schedule. This season she’s played at the White House for President Obama, and next month will Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Berlin Philharmonic and Daniel Barenboim. She joins us to perform one of her passions today: the Bach Cello Suites.

Love this interpretation. Too bad she doesn't have a recording of this.
Beautiful performances. It brought tears to my eyes!
