Califone Live
Monday, October 19, 2009
The experimental indie group Califone is hard to pin down – and so is their latest project. It’s either an album or a feature-length film. The band’s primary songwriter, Tim Rutili, joins us to talk about All My Friends Are Funeral Singers, a joint music-and-film project that the band is taking on tour. We get a preview as Califone performs live in our studio.

It's just you...
Is it just me, or do these guys suck? How do they deserve to be on Soundcheck???
noise schmoise, john
don't bother trying to pin them down--califone's turned out the yummiest double-album (vinyl, y'all) i've heard in forever. their work grows more heart-rending the more one listens.
can't wait to see them at the 92nd St. Y/tribeca friday! kisses to all!
Thanks, Mia. We fixed.
isn't it TIM Rutili? (not Jim).
