Previously On Lost
Wednesday, May 13, 2009
The Brooklyn-based group Previously on Lost gained notoriety for writing and recording recaps of “Lost” episodes within 24 hours of their original air date. Now, ABC has hired them to produce songs for the hit show’s web site. Before tonight’s “Lost” season finale, the duo of Jeff Curtin and Adam Schatz join us to perform live.

I saw these guys in Philadelphia, PA and fell in love with them!!! I love you guys! Amaziiinng!!!
Thank the powers that be that Lost and BSG are "no Twin Peaks". What a rip-off that turned out to be! Great first season, then...what? David Lynch admitted he was making it up as he went along, and it showed! Lost and BSG are FAR superior, because they were created with endings in mind (although we've yet to see the quality of Lost's climax).
Didn't want to miss a second of this show! Yes, I have a friend who suggested doing a comical musical tribute project for LOST earlier this year. I looked into it and there are in fact a number of musicians doing this. Wow these guys are manic though! Really fun interview.
BSG vs. Lost! Definitely smack down worthy. I'm in the Lost camp, for sure, sorry Caryn.
I agree with Ben!!!!
But I am not a fan of this new 'recap band' genre. If Lost was truly a music genre, it would be something in a mix of John Cage and Milton Babbit, because the show confuses the hell outta me!
recap Twin Peaks, please.
It was casually tossed out that Lost is the greatest sci-fi soap opera EVER. I'm sorry, it's no Twin Peaks.
Lost is "The greatest sci-fi soap opera"? I must protest. Battlestar Galactica (the recently concluded Sci-Fi reimagining) rules the roost. In the Soundcheck Smackdown-land, I think that the BSG-nerds would show up and wipe the floor with the Lost people. I'm just sayin'.
believe it or not, there is another lost recap band called "the others". http://www.myspace.com/theotherslostband
The best music was the 2nd to last show from last season, near the end. It stirred up intense emotions in me. It was a heart-breaking scene, and so much was coming together. I have mentioned this often when talking to my friends about the show. great work! I love the show and the music has a lot to do with it.
