Over six albums, Eleni Mandell has crafted sultry, urban folk songs from reliable raw materials like jazz, Nashville, and the music of Tom Waits. On her latest record, "Artificial Fire," the L.A.-based songwriter set out to explore lost love and her "inner teenager." The result: one of her best albums yet. Mandell joins us to perform live in the studio.
