Cucu Diamantes
Friday, June 26, 2009
Cucu Diamantes went from a tough childhood in Havana, Cuba, to an art school in Rome to underground New York City, where she co-founded the Latin alternative band Yerba Buena. She joins us to talk about the release of her solo debut, ''CuCuLand,'' which mixes salsa, funk, hip-hop, mariachi, disco, flamenco and more.

I heard Cucu interviewed on NPR in Charleston SC 89.3. I'm hooked and can't wait till her new CD comes out. Bravo-Bravo-Bravo
I heard it live on the radio, & now I'm here on WNYC.org watching & listening to this song Amor Cronico over & over.
Back I go!
