Like Greg, I am also looking forward to the new Clipse. Also in Hip Hop, I'll be curious to see if Prodigy keeps up his torrid pace. He put out two albums in 2008 - both good with a couple of great tracks each.
Other things:
Something new from Portugese genius Gecko Turner (His two albums have not left my iPod since 2006!)
New Spoon & Wilco albums would be nice.
Seeing Leonard Cohen in concert would be even nicer!
Also hoping Massive Attack actually drop something new and still waiting for Grace Jones to release her album Hurricane in the U.S.
No longer looking forward to St. Francois D'Assise - thanks a lot, Gerard Mortier.
Finally, I'm looking forward to something coming out of left field and surprising me, like Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver. We don't know who they are yet, but they're out there...maybe in a cabin in the woods somewhere...
P.S. Lizzy from Blender seemed to have pretty MOR tastes. I mean Little Boots? Nina Sky? Oy.
Looking forward to Clipse's new album 'Til the Casket Drops.' Though I'll miss the Neptunes-produced Clipse, if the new album is half as genius as 'Hell Hath No Fury' I'll be happy.
