The Marcus Roberts Trio

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

On his recent album, “New Orleans Meets Harlem, Vol. 1” pianist Marcus Roberts re-imagines music by Jelly Roll Morton, Scott Joplin, Thelonious Monk and other greats. He joins us with a couple of swinging holiday treats.

The Marcus Roberts Trio plays this week at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

John, you sound like a Scrooge! It's Christmas! I love the sounds in the City - including the Christmas carols. It's always noisy in the City.
