Smackdown: Holiday Albums

This holiday season has seen plenty of unusual seasonal albums, including one from Bob Dylan. We'll separate the stocking stuffers from the lumps of coal in a Soundcheck Smackdown. And: pianist Lisa Moore performs the music of composer Don Byron live in our studio.

Lisa Moore

Don Byron was named a finalist for this year's Pulitzer Prize in Music for his piece "Seven," a sometimes bluesy, sometimes cheery, always surprising collection of seven short piano pieces. Lisa Moore, the pianist he wrote them for, plays some of them live in our studio.
