Garage A Trois

Monday, December 21, 2009

You might have a hard time taking seriously a group that calls itself Garage A Trois. But their new album Power Patriot reveals this 10-year-old jazz-rock outfit means business. The quartet includes the keyboardist Marco Benevento - best known as half of the experimental jazz act Benevento Russo Duo. They join us to perform songs from the album Power Patriot live in our studio.

Guests:

Garage A Trois.

I heard Garage a Trois tonite when I happened to hear Soundcheck. I am really digging it! Will buy this album -never heard of the group or the genre (jazz-rock). I am seriously old school and this sound is great!

Really like this band - the first couple songs just took me away. Made me think of Zappa at points.

"Dory's day Out" ... very Stereolab (dots & loops era) without vocals. Nice. I'll take it.
