Julian Lennon is the first son of Beatle John Lennon and he was the inspiration of the song "Hey Jude." He was also the one who did a drawing of his friend Lucy with crayons, showed it to his father saying it was "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." He joins us to talk about a new song for his childhood friend Lucy -- who died in September at age 46. And, he performs live in our studio with collaborator James Scott Cook.

I mean (Joel!)
Thanks John (and Brian)!
Julian,
You have always been so down to earth and a regular guy despite being a famous scion. Your mom did a great job and you grew up with your head on. Good luck with whatever you pursue.
lupus, btw, is an oft mis-diagnosed and misunderstood disease that disproportionately afflicts women of 30 and above. many of of live with it and cope, and some do not--western medicine provides few answers, apart from treating pain symptoms. hats off for helping in a way that compels others to join in and gain some awareness.
Please, please, please tell Julian Lennon how much Suki in Williamsburg loves him and how, when she was six and "Too Late For Goodbyes" was on the radio, she wouldn't get out of bed unless her mom put the record on.
so where has Julian been for the last 10 years?
our ears await new work from you, julian!!
I'd like to recommend Julian's "Photograph" CD. One of my favorite alburms! Looking forward to new music from Mr. Lennon.
