Tori Amos
Wednesday, December 09, 2009
Some unlikely artists have produced holiday albums this year, including Bob Dylan and metal god Rob Halford of Judas Priest. But Tori Amos - the minister's daughter who titled her last album Abnormally Attracted to Sin - might be the most surprising candidate. The singer and pianist talks about overhauling carols for her new album, Midwinter Graces, and performs live.

It's been a long while since this broadcast (now July), but I will ALWAYS remember fondly the winter afternoon spent with my boyfriend, my secret crush (John), and my beloved hero, Tori. Bliss...! Thank you.
I want to thank you john and team also for a nice tori amos streaming webcast today. are there photos from today's show.
This was a lot of fun. Nice nutcrackers for everyone! Thank you John and team. Where can I find those photos on the blog you mentioned? Will you post the video as well as the mp3?
Welcome Home Tori,
What beautiful song spirits, Thank you.
Merry Days!
Kristina
being a big fan it was great watching tori amos perform live on soundcheck today. what a treat.
I loved watching tori amos perform today on soundcheck. it was wonderful and a great treat to watch. being a big fan it made my day.
I've never listened to WNYC before; I came to check it out because I'm a Tori fan. I narrowly missed hearing this live (Portland is of course three hrs behind you guys), so I hope this will become a podcast? Also, I am sure Ms. Amos is indeed into nutty granola and treacle in stonehenge shaped jars (that's really funny actually), but probably not Charmed. I also don't think there is any relation between she and Ms. Crow or Aerosmith. There's smart, right-on fun-poking, then there's lazy pot shots.
finally the streaming worked and it was really a treat to see Tori perform today! I'm a big fan, she is so original and talented.
I enjoyed Tori Amos singing & seeing her live!
Thank you!
does the CD come with nutty granola, treacle in stonehenge shaped jars, and autographed fotos from the set of charmed?
the streaming didn't work for me either : (
saw some bits and pieces but mostly it froze.
I love love love BSM.
Addendum to above: If I try to watch it on the wnyc home page, the text shifts so I can read it. It says that the server is not found. I wish I could be watching!

The webcast isn't working, but the error message is in tiny white font on the white background so I can't read it. Is it working for anyone else? Any tips for how to make it work?
Wow first Sheryl Crow, now Tori Amos; is Aerosmith going to be on the show tomorrow? I'll have to listen.
