We conclude our broadcast from WNYC's new Jerome L. Greene Performance Space with a live performance from the string ensemble Ethel. They perform "Radio," a WNYC-commissioned work by composer Osvaldo Golijov. Plus, guests and listeners talk about the road ahead for downtown Manhattan's creative communities.

I think if you look at the number of new venues opening up in Brooklyn, it could be argued that the music scene there is growing as much, if not more so, than Manhattan. Like, there's this new place opening in Gowanus called Littlefield - whereas before there was just an empty canal.
Born, raised and spent my entire life downtown. Now I do computer animation and art in my downtown flat.
Vote for my computer animated short "Art Appreciation" and if it wins it will be broadcast this Saturday night on Channel Thirteen/WNET!
