The Forecast Calls for Rock

Monday, October 06, 2008

Sam Champion visits the Soundcheck studio for a live performance. No, not the New York-area TV weatherman and "Good Morning America" personality. We're joined by Sam Champion, the Brooklyn-based indie-rock quartet. They join us to play songs from their new album "Heavenly Bender."

Guests:

Does the world really need another boring rock band like this?

Middletown U8 Soccer says "We be lovin Sam Champion!" They also hear just a touch of Remy Zero in the song they're playing right now.

Does anyone else hear Television in this band?
Sonic Youth, too... and the slide guitar really hit a nerve....leg started twitching. Vocally even Tom Verlaine is blushing, but they've got my number.
