Rihanna’s hit song is featured in Cover Girl commercials, and she is just one in a sea of superstars who are the voice and the face of the new jingles on TV, from Dylan and Cadillac to The Eagles and Wal-Mart. Josh Rabinowitz, Billboard columnist and music executive at Grey Group advertising and David McGinnis, Head of licensing for Mute Song, discuss the new sound of the ad jingle.

Corporations market their wares by simplifying the universe into a ideology where we give them our money. fair enough.
But real music is about expanding the complexity of the Universe and thus diametrically opposed to such garbage.

haha, 'selling in'. brilliant. it will be like flammable and inflammable. selling in and selling out will -sound- like opposites, but they'll mean the same thing!
Listening to these clips makes me even more glad I don't listen to commercials. I thought the song "Umbrella" was just bad.
